SHEDDING LIGHT ON THE RELIGIOUS DISCOURSE
Part 1 of 2
AUTHOR... ADNAN EL-REFAIE

TRANSLATED BY:  TAREK .A. HAMID

The term religious discourse, is a general term, holds many concepts, according to the telescope of an intellectual that looks through it to religion, and more precisely according to our concept of religion.

Every one assays religious discourse in what he considers the real standard, and classifies this according to the belief of the limits of the sacred space, and values it by his awareness of the provisions of the sacred.

Religious discourse could be seen in different forms, and even contradictory, And according to the different concepts and disparate ideas, this leads us to distinguish between religious discourse derives his thought and culture of the Book of Allah oh mighty, The fact that the Book of Allah is carrying all curriculums. Allah says we got you book gives an account of everything.
And between any speech calculated on religion, derives its thought and culture, and ignorance is classified within the boundaries of religion, and provides that this is a religious discourse.

The first point on which we stand then lies in the fact that the right of religious discourse calls for a culture of love and charity among all members of society, whatever their religious affiliation and sectarianism. Allah forbids you to harm those who warred not against you on account of religion and drove you not out from your homes, that you should show them kindness and deal justly with them. Allah loves the just dealers. (8) Allah forbid you only those who war against you on account of religion and have driven you out from your homes and helped to drive you out, that you make should not make friends of them. As those are wrong-doers. Momtahena 8, 9

God Almighty calls for dealing with the other with justice and charity, unless they fight us and get us out of our homes, and therefore unity of the members of the society within the framework of human noble interaction, is the Quran requirement, no matter how varied religious affiliations and sectarianism among the people of this community.

This is the right and true religious discourse derived from the Book of Allah, the Quran.  While we see some aspects of the speech calculated on religion, offering fabricated texts on the lips of the Prophet – narrations - calling for a culture of hatred and strife among the people of the same society.

From this, the claim that the following is the true words of the Prophet in (Sahih Muslim) No.: (4030), by the (El- Alameya) numbering... Abu Huraira said that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him said: Do not meet Jews and Christians with peace and love, as when you meet someone on the way force him to take the narrowest part of the road. Any sane human will reject such talk, but orthodox Muslims don’t.

The second point on which we stand then, lies in the fact that the right religious discourse, calls to non-monopoly of salvation, and to not recommend self at the expense of others.  Allah says: “Hast thou not seen those who praise themselves for purity? Nay, Allah purifies whom He will, and they will not be wronged a bit. (49) See, how they invent lies on Allah! That of itself is a manifest sin. (50)”.
The right religious discourse calls to the non-monopoly of salvation, and not to accuse others that they are not right.  Allah says: The Jews say the Christians follow nothing (true), and the Christians say the Jews follow nothing (true); yet both are readers of the Scripture. Even thus speak those who know not. Allah will judge them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they differ.) (Al-Baqara113).

Allah says: (Even thus speak those who know not), shows us that accuse others that they are not on anything right, is ignorance to the provisions of God ... God shows in the holy book that the monopoly of salvation, which goes to the Muslims and the People of the Book Nothing more than wishful thinking.
It will be in accordance with neither your desires, nor the desires of the people of the Scripture. He who does wrong, will be punished, and will not find against Allah any protecting friend or helper. (123) And whoso do good deeds, whether a male or a female, and is a faithful, such will enter paradise and they will not be wronged a bit.( Al- Nesaa 124)

Therefore, the right religious discourse does not accuse others that they are not right, not because they are others.  While we see that many of those who count themselves as guardians of the religion of Allah Almighty consider all others as disbelievers.  Even other Islamic sects and Islamic denominations that is violating them, are considered disbelievers as we, and claim that their followers whatever work they do are doomed, and in fire. The great disaster is they are using some fabricated stories on Mohamed, the messenger. One of these fabricated novels in the book called “Musnad Ahmad”, number (11763) By Alamya numbering.  Says:- (Anas bin Malik said: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him said that the children of Israel had parted on seventy-two team  bands,  and you team like them , all are in the hell but one.)

The third point on which we stand, lies in the fact that the right religious discourse, calling to spread the religion of Allah, through wisdom and good advice, not through coercion.
Allah says:  Call unto the way of Allah with wisdom, fair exhortation, and reason with them in a better way. Allah is Aware of him who strayed away from His path, and He is aware of those who go aright. (125)
God Almighty does not want to impose on any one to convert to his religion, as the wisdom of Allah’s reward and punishment in the Koran is based on freedom of choice, never coercion. The verses in Quran prove that without any doubt.

And say it right from your Lord willing, let him believe, and willing, let him disbelieve. Verily, that we prepared for the wrong-doers fire that will surround them, If they ask for Relief, we will send upon them water like melted led which will burn their faces. Evil that brew and it is an ill resting place. (kahf - Cave 29)
And if thy Lord willed, all who are in the earth would have believed together.   Are you Compelling men until they are believers? (Younis 99).  After all, this divine crystal clear statement, speakers and debaters are showing us many portrays  to call on God by killing others and the captivity of their money and honor. Asserting their opinion with a lot of stories hyped on the lips of the Prophet as narrations.

For example - What is stated in Sahih Bukhari, narration number (379) By (Al- Alamya) numbering. Anas bin Malik said: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him was ordered to fight all the people until they say there is no god but Allah and pray our prayers, faced our Qebla and slaughtered our sacrifice, only then their blood and money is forbidden to us.

What should we know is that this speech which is calculated on religion and put all others in a ditch of hostility, and wants to be held accountable for other’s beliefs, wasting their blood and money just for being others, this is not different In essence, from the unbeliever’s speech to messengers of God. Allah says in describing this fact: (And those who disbelieved said to their messengers, we will drive you out of our land, unless you return to our religion. Then their Lord inspired them, (saying): Verily we shall destroy the wrong-doers. (Ibrahm13).
